I have over ten years experience in pet sitting and equine management. I used to run a, still successful, pet sitting and dog walking business but I had to give that up due to health reasons. I have been ill with M.E. for 16 years.
I am now ready to get back into pet sitting.
I have done other jobs during my recovery but my heart is with the animals.
I am owned by 4 cats. Harriet who is 6 years old, George who is 8; and our two newest editions, kittens Thor and Astrid.
Cats and horses are my two main loves. Before becoming ill, as well as pet sitting, I was a horse trainer and riding instructor. If you need help or advice with your horses, please contact me. My M.E. prevents me doing some things but I am happy to discuss your requirements. I am a BHSISM and was working towards my Stage 4 riding exam when I became ill.
Sometimes my husband helps out too, which means that your animals get two slaves for the price of one!
During my years with M.E. I have taken the opportunity to qualify as a life coach and meditation practitioner and am now launching Dharma Life Coaching.
I am specializing in the three areas in which I have learnt many lessons over the past 16 years of my illness. My coaching qualifications formalize my knowledge but the majority of my experience comes from having lived though the illness and having had to find ways of coping.
These areas are -
Meditation and mindfulness,
Weight control and healthy eating,
And of course, coping with chronic illness and all its anxieties.
I have learnt so much that I am now keen to pass on my knowledge to others who find themselves plagued with any long term illness/ condition or anyone who wants to learn about the foods that they eat and how to lose weight without having to exercise (I know it can be done because I’ve done it!)
Please pass on my details to anyone who you think might benefit from my help. I prefer face to face sessions but I also offer video calls or email counselling. There’s loads of information on my website, www.dharmalifecoaching.co.uk
Don't worry though - the cats are absolutely my priority and I am not giving up the cat sitting!
